Sidley Over 50s Friendship Club meet on the third Monday of every month at All Saints Church Hall in Sidley. 2pm to 4pm. Most months there is a show of some kind e.g. music (both listening & singing), poetry, finance advice etc etc. First visit is free thereafter £2 a month including a drink and a small raffle. All welcome.
The Old Bexhillians Walking Football Club, sponsored and supported by Age UK East Sussex, meet and play at the Bexhill Leisure Centre on Tuesday mornings 0915 til 1045. They then repair for refreshments at the recently refurbished “Atha Bar” at The Athletic Club, Little Common Road.
The Golden Marigold Club extend a warm welcome at the Parkhurst Hall, Sackville Road on Mondays, to anyone wishing to make new friends. The Club is open from 09.30 with coffee/tea and biscuits, a small raffle, entertainment and therapeutic games. A home cooked two course luncheon can cater for dietary requirements, occasional outings, entertainers and friendship guaranteed. All this for £16.00 a day.

Bexhill Caring Community run two Day Centres for the Elderly – on a Wednesday and Friday. These provide somewhere for people to visit, meet up with others, join in activities, enjoy entertainment and the occasional trip out. Each centre is run by a team of volunteers headed by an organiser. Our transport will collect you from your home and deliver you safely back to your door at the end of the afternoon. Our minibuses have a tail lift to enable easy access for those with difficulties. The cost is £18 per session which includes morning refreshments, a two course cooked lunch and afternoon tea. The Charter Centre is a local day centre offering care and support to older people, with stimulating activities in a safe, warm and friendly environment. They provide flexible options with people being able to come for a day or half day with a nutritious 2 course meal available, all freshly cooked onsite. The building is fully accessible for wheelchairs, and they work with people who have mobility issues as well as people who have dementia. There is regular entertainment including singers, poetry, pottery, art and craft and exercises.
