Bexhill West Station was closed under the Beeching reforms in the 60s. It now houses a pub/restaurant, Antiques Centre and Cafe. This year, after just over 50 years of the station clock not working, Bexhill resident Simon Allen has mended the clock in co-operation with Bexhill Heritage. The clock will be formally restarted on Sussex Day 16th June. Local poet, Claire Baldry has written a poem especially for the occasion, and will be reading it at the restart ceremony at about 3pm. This is a really positive example of residents in Bexhill combining their skills to support the community. Please come along and show your support.
