Rotary Club of Senlac
We’re looking for men and women of all ages and backgrounds to join us either as volunteers, members or both. You can use your time, talents, professional skills and energy to improve the lives of people in our local community and around the world. You can enjoy business networking, personal development, meeting new friends, having a great deal of fun and experiencing the fulfilment that comes from achieving something worthwhile.
We are a mixed club, of some 30 members, serving the Bexhill, Hastings, and Rother area of East Sussex. If you enjoy networking and laughter then Senlac Rotary is the club for you, but be prepared to get involved! Throughout the year we engage in a wide range of community projects. We raise money for charity by organising a large Classic Car Show at Bodiam, a Spring Fair, and our very popular Jazz Picnic. It’s hard work, but it’s fun. Our Rotary club holds both formal and informal social events for our members, and we also invite interesting visiting speakers. Our club’s overseas project is in Kenya where we are known as ‘The Yellowmen of Kadongdong’. Why not visit yellowmen.org and see what we do. You might like to join us…….
We normally meet on Wednesdays, 7pm for 7.30pm, at the Cooden Beach Hotel, Bexhill. For further information contact Mike Styles on 01424 843955
The Classic Cycle Group is a historical cycling activity group of classic, veteran and vintage cycle owners interested in uncompetitive, gentle, slow paced! responsible cycling in the spirit of nostalgic bygone Bexhill.
The last Tuesday of each month, we join The Bexhill Wheelers at 7.30pm at The Coast Restaurant & Bar, De La Warr Parade, Bexhill-on-Sea TN40 1LS for a social gathering (casual attire) and discuss how far we have progressed in our aims, objectives, plan events and rides, and also find out the latest news of cycling in Bexhill.
Bexhill Floral Group meets on the first Thursday afternoon in the month, at the Manor Barn, approx 2pm until 4.30pm. At most meetings we relax and watch demonstrators create several beautiful floral arrangements, which we may be lucky enough to win in a raffle. Tea is served in the break, so there is an opportunity to get to know other members. A couple of times in the year there are workshops, where skills are taught to enable us to have a go at making our own floral creations and it makes an interesting and fun afternoon. New members are always welcome, or come as a visitor for £4.
